Adrafinil vs Modafinil – What’s the Big Deal?

Whenever I get really motivated to do work, I always feel as though there is something missing from my flow. It isn’t that I need to have nootropic drugs, but sometimes it makes a really big difference. When it comes to improving the quality of my cognition during these long hours and motivated sessions, one of the things that rings most true for me is using options like adrafinil or modafinil.

The only complaint that I have been having lately is that I have no idea which one I am supposed to choose! I am a really big believer in the cognitive enhancing effects of adrafinil and at the same time I realize that there are some drawbacks. I decided to do some research to find out more.

Research About These Drugs

When I first started my quest for research, I found a few different sources that could help. One of them was obviously Dave Asprey who has dedicated a lot of time to understanding the different effects of nootropics and smart drugs.

However, I also found a really unique video that taught me a lot about adrafinil and how it interacts with the liver function.

This taught me a lot about the different ways that I could be using adrafinil in order to improve the health of my brain. It was a great drug, but no better than using something like modafinil. Even worse, the adrafinil was causing my body to work extra hard.

At the end of the day, I do not want my body to be working overtime just to have a little bit of a boost. Modafinil is a nootropic drug that improves focus, which makes a really big difference when it comes to an enhanced cognitive function. This is one of the reasons why I have decided to stick to using modafinil and not utilizing adrafinil anymore.

Perhaps I will speak to this point next time, but it is also a good idea for me to mention armodafinil, which is one of the more powerful kinds of drugs in this family that has few side effects in difference to modafinil. In general, it is a safe option!
